From Valencia to Alicante
The southernmost of the three provinces of the Valencian Community , Alicante is located on the famous Costa Blanca and overlooks the Mediterranean Sea. The city enjoys an absolutely enviable climate and this has transformed it into one of the major seaside tourist destinations in all of Spain. But Alicante isn’t just that! Alicante is also a city rich in history and culture , with a very interesting and charming historic center.
How to get to Alicante from Valencia
There are three fundamental solutions:
🌊 The first (and most practical) way to rent a car (Valencia IN ITALIAN does not have agreements with any car rental company)
🌊 The second option is to use the connection provided by the Alsa bus company (Valencia IN ITALIANO has no collaboration or agreement with this company).

We recommend checking the proposed solutions carefully because travel times may vary depending on the number of stops the bus makes.
🌊 As an alternative to the bus, you can take a direct train from Valencia’s Estació del Nord station to Alacant/Alicante Terminal in just over two hours.

What not to miss in Alicante
🌊 What you definitely shouldn’t miss is the beautiful Santa Barbara Castle , located on the top of Mount Benacantil and from which you can enjoy a wonderful panoramic view of the entire bay of Alicante .
🌊 Getting lost among the enchanting alleys and lanes of Alicante is undoubtedly an experience worth trying!
🌊 For archaeology enthusiasts, there are two very interesting options.
The first is the MARQ , Alicante’s super-innovative archaeological museum located right in the city center, while the second is the Lucentum archaeological site , ancient Roman Alicante, located 3 km from the city center.
🌊 If you’re a sailing enthusiast, a visit to The Ocean Race Museum is a must . This modern interactive museum opened in 2012 and is dedicated to the equipment and history of the incredible Ocean Race.
The Ocean Race is a round-the-world challenge that dates back to 1973 , is held every three years, and starts from the city of Alicante.
The museum also showcases the important work done to raise awareness of ocean health and to make this incredible race as sustainable as possible.
🌊 Finally, a walk along the Esplanada de España , the beautiful seafront promenade in the centre of Alicante, is undoubtedly very pleasant and relaxing .
